ACT scores: the average score with 1,686 high school students in the Archdiocese taking the test is 25.8, nearly 3 points above the Minnesota average.
What is the average class size?
Although class sizes vary by school and grade level, the average class size is 19 students.
Are Catholic school teachers licensed?
Currently 93% of our teachers are licensed, although not required by the State of Minnesota for private school teachers. Additionally, nearly 50% of our teachers have advanced degrees.
Are Catholic schools accredited?
All Catholic schools in the Archdiocese are accredited or in the process of being accredited by a state-recognized accreditation agency.
Is financial assistance available?
All Catholic schools work with families to help make Catholic education affordable. The Archdiocese provides nearly $3 million in financial assistance to families and schools annually. In the coming years, even more support will be dedicated to student-based financial aid. Alumni, parishioners and other Catholic school benefactors help make Catholic school affordable through their generous support.
What if my child has special learning needs?
Catholic school students have access to special education services from their public districts. Approximately 1,300 Catholic school students received special education services last year.
Is transportation available?
Yes. In fact, thousands of Catholic school students received subsidized transportation last year through cooperation with public school district transportation offices. In addition, some Catholic schools have their own school buses.
Are students required to wear uniforms?
Yes, our students are required to wear uniforms. Each school determines the dress code and uniforms that will be worn.
Does my family need to be Catholic to attend?
All are welcome! While the Catholic faith is an integral part of school life, approximately 15% of Catholic school students are not Catholic.
Do Catholic schools offer preschool?
Yes; 63 schools have preschool programs; many provide full-day options.

Yes, 77 schools have extended day programs.
